Can't Wait to Watch Movies of 2014

6:37 PM

Being the movie buffs we are, we decided to write a blog post dedicated to the upcoming movies of 2014. This 2014 there are a lot of movie releases that we are truly waiting for! We'll share them to you in this blog post. Plus, you can use this blog post to know the release dates of your awaited movies of 2014.

Let's start off with:

1. The Lego Movie (February 7)

We love watching cartoons and animated films, so it's a crime to not put this on our list of 2014 movies to watch out for! We really enjoyed watching Wreck it Ralph, and think that this movie is similar. Plus, who didn't enjoy playing Lego when they were kids?

2. Divergent (March 21)

We're super excited to watch this movie because we are fans of the book. We read the Divergent book series, so naturally we'd like to see how it is translated to screen. We're most excited to see how they're going to portray dystopian Chicago, the chemistry between Tris and Tobias and of course, how they're going to create the simulations!

3. Captain America: The Winter Soldier (April 4)

Of course, we can't forget about the gorgeousness that is Chris Evans in the second installment of Marvel's Captain America! Marvel movies are a must-watch for big geeks like us, so this one deserves a spot on our list.

4. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (May 2)

Welcome back, Spidey! The second installment of The Amazing Spider-Man series is coming soon, and we just can't wait for it! Aside from the fact that we are excited to see Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone's chemistry on screen as they reprise their roles as Peter Parker and Gwen Stacey (they're our real life  OTP too!), we are even more excited to see how Spidey battles his new threats, Electro and Rhino!

5.  Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return (May 9)
Wizard of Oz + musical + Lea Michele? Our 3 favorite things rolled into one! We can't wait for this computer animated musical film that will show Dorothy's return to Oz and her journey to saving the entire land from grave danger.

6. Maleficent (May 30)
Sleeping Beauty is our favorite Disney princess movie, and we were completely thrilled when we found out Disney was making a new movie, but this time based on the point of view of the villain, Maleficent. We also think Angelina Jolie was born for this role, and are super excited to find out the backstory of Disney's most sinister villain ever!

7. The Fault in Our Stars (June 6)

The movie adaptation of John Green's The Fault in Our Stars is possibly the most awaited book-to-screen releases of 2014. We read TFIOS a couple of years ago, and it is definitely one of the best YA contemporary novels EVER, so we're on the edge of our seat waiting for this movie. Plus, we'd love to see how Shailene Woodley is going to portray Hazel, as you'll also see her as Tris in Divergent.

8. Gone Girl (October 3)
(This is the book cover, since there isn't an official movie poster yet! Will update this once the official poster is released!)

We really liked the book and thought the plot was very original for a mystery novel. It was so sick and twisted, but also completely genius! We can't wait to see Ben Affleck as Nick Dunne, the main character and Rosamund Pike as Amy, Nick's wife, who goes missing and is also possibly the mastermind of it all? You'll find out soon!

9.The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay Part 1 (November 21)

(NOT THE OFFICIAL POSTER. Credits to whoever made this!)

We're finally going to see the last installment (at least PART 1 of the last installment) of the famous Hunger Games  franchise! We're so excited to see Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and more on the big screen, being such big Hunger Games stans. If you just can't wait to see Mockingjay, you still have a few months left to finish the trilogy!
