Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Most Unique Books I've Read

10:37 PM

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. Every week, there is a different topic. This week's topic is the top ten most unique books that we have read. It could be because of the main character or the plot or just anything that made it unique.

We are very excited for this since there are many books that are so unique and deserve to be read by everyone. Enjoy!

1. Every Day by David Levithan
Recently, we made a review of this book. We stated there that its plot was very unique. It really was. The plot was very unique and so were the characters so we decided that it would be perfect on this list.

2. Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell
Here, it's the main characters that are unique. Instead of the main characters who say they are ugly but are actually pretty or handsome Eleanor and Park were both just average. Their personalities were also very unique and their voices were very distinct.

3. The Summer I Found You by Jolene Perry
The main characters here are also unique. Kate has diabetes and Aidan lost his arm. This makes them very memorable since they are not perfect either. They are also different from the usual YA books with  disabled people as their main characters.

4.  Catching Jordan by Miranda Kenneally
This book is the only book we've heard of that has a female football captain. That's what makes it unique.

5. The Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart
All four of the main characters are unique. They are all very different from each other and yet they're still friends.

6. The Lover's Dictionary by David Levithan
The way this was written was very unique. Instead of in the usual way, it was written using words and their definitions. We all were amazed by how the author was able to write the story like that. We know we can't write like that. We'd probably go out of our minds trying.

7. Two Boys Kissing by David Levithan
This dude has been mentioned, like, thrice already! Seriously!  Levithan just manages to make books that are so unique! It's so unique that this whole thing is being written with exclamation points! YAY!

8. Openly Straight by Bill Konigsberg
Instead of a homosexual who wants to be out of the closet but can't find it in him to come out, this is a book about a homosexual who already came out, decided he hated people knowing, moved to another place and pretended to be straight. That sounds kinda weird but if you look at it from his point of view it makes sense.

9. Harry Potter by J. K. Rowling
Umm... This is pretty obvious so we won't explain anymore.

10. Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs
It's told using pictures and words. It has a very unique plot with a very unique main character and very creepy children.

  5. I totally forgot about the characters in Eleanor & Park, lol! But yes, very unique. I think there are a number of books similar to Catching Jordan, though, but it's one of the only books with sports mixed in that still interested me, so that's still pretty unique in my book! =) Harry Potter! Huzzah! And I definitely have to read Two Boys Kissing!
